- The Account Development Director position at Schneider is a key role that involves developing strategic plans to foster growth and profitability with existing customers. As an Account Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, informing customers about innovative supply chain solutions, and leading contract negotiations to drive business growth and improvement. You will work closely with customer service teams to ensure successful implementation of new business within the existing portfolio, conduct business reviews and planning sessions with customers, and manage key performance indicators to enhance customer relationships.
To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably with four to six years of sales experience in the transportation industry. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in problem-solving. As an Account Development Director, you will collaborate with the solution design team, relationship managers, and line of business owners to develop tailored solutions for customers. Utilizing sales tools to manage data and explore new opportunities will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities.
