Role Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager-GT, West India (Food Products) role is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the General Trade channel across West India, specifically focusing on Mumbai and Pune.
This role involves leading a team of Area Sales Managers, developing and executing sales strategies, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The role collaborates closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to optimize sales performance and contribute to the overall business objectives.
Job Location: Mumbai or Pune
Geography Coverage:-Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat
Reporting to: NSM
Team Handling: ASM
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the General Trade channel in West India.
- Manage and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance their capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, ensuring effective distribution and availability of products across the region.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to distributors and retailers.
- Manage budgets and control expenses to ensure cost-effective sales operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies within the FMCG/Food industry, specifically in the General Trade channel.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Experience in Mumbai and Pune markets is essential.
