Position Title : GM Logistics Operations
Location : Mumbai
Department : Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Reporting To : Head SCM
MANDATORY : - HANDLING ONLY LOGISTICS (and not SCM function) + COLD CHAIN LOGISTICS + PERISHABLE Product + MUMBAI - residing / relocation
Job Purpose :
Lead and oversee end-to-end logistics operations including inbound/outbound transportation, cold chain management, warehousing, and 3PL partnerships. Ensure cost-effective, efficient, and customer-centric logistics processes aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage transportation of frozen, chilled, and dry goods nationwide.
- Ensure compliance with cold chain and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage 3PL partners.
- Drive productivity in trailer transportation from factories to ports.
- Develop SOPs for primary and secondary transportation.
- Monitor vehicle performance and optimize utilization.
- Implement strategies for freight efficiency and cost savings.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing logistics team.
Key Requirements :
Education : Masters degree in Management (preferred).
Experience : 15 to 20 years in core logistics, with leadership exposure.
Age : Below 48 years.
Skills :
- Strong leadership & decision-making ability
- Expertise in WMS/TMS systems & logistics automation
- In-depth knowledge of transportation, warehousing, distribution
- Strategic planning & analytical thinking
Work Schedule :
Days : Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturday off, Sundays off)
Timings : 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
