Manager - Fund Accounting

Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Manager - Fund Accounting to lead our high-performing finance team in Bangalore. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for complex investment vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy in NAV calculation and financial reporting. You will act as a primary point of contact for global clients, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, and investment managers to resolve complex valuation issues. By maintaining rigorous oversight of fund operations, you will directly influence the integrity of our financial data and support the strategic decision-making processes of our institutional partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculation processes for Hedge Fund and Private Equity portfolios to ensure timely and accurate delivery to stakeholders.
- Manage complex accounting workflows, including capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations, to ensure compliance with fund governing documents and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the year-end audit process by coordinating with external auditors and providing comprehensive documentation to facilitate seamless financial statement preparation.
- Mentor and develop a team of fund accountants, fostering a culture of technical excellence and operational efficiency to meet evolving business demands.
- Implement robust internal controls and process improvements to mitigate operational risk and enhance the scalability of our fund accounting infrastructure.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in accounting standards for Hedge Funds and Private Equity, with a proven track record of managing complex asset classes and multi-currency environments.

- Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders and global clients.
- Possess a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or CFA, complemented by a solid academic background from a premier institute.
- Show exceptional analytical rigor and attention to detail, ensuring precision in high-pressure environments where accuracy is paramount.
- Adapt seamlessly to a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, leveraging digital collaboration tools to maintain team cohesion and operational continuity.
- Bring 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, demonstrating a clear trajectory of managing large-scale financial operations and client relationships.
