Role Overview:

The Manager - ETF (Market Maker) will be instrumental in ensuring robust liquidity and efficient pricing for Mirae Asset's Exchange Traded Funds. This role involves active participation in the secondary market, managing trading books, and executing strategies to maintain tight bid-ask spreads. Working closely with fund management teams, sales, and risk management, the incumbent will directly influence the success and growth of our ETF product suite by providing consistent market access and optimizing trading performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Market-making strategies for a diverse range of ETFs, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal liquidity for investors.
- Manage proprietary trading books, monitoring positions, and actively hedging risks associated with ETF creation/redemption and secondary market activities.
- Analyze market trends, trading volumes, and underlying asset movements to identify opportunities and mitigate potential exposures effectively.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including fund managers, sales teams, and product development, to support new ETF launches and enhance existing product offerings.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal risk management frameworks, maintaining high standards of compliance in all trading activities.
- Provide insightful market commentary and performance analysis to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making for the ETF desk.

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement data-driven trading strategies.
- Proven track record of 5-10 years in a similar market-making or trading role within a reputable financial institution.
- Excellent understanding of market microstructure, trading algorithms, and risk management principles specific to ETFs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external market participants.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Methods, or a related field from a premier institution.
