Senior Tax Specialist

:

• Deliver accurate and timely tax accounting, reporting and compliance activities for US jurisdictions including the following:
  
  
  
  • Quarterly calculation, recording and reporting of tax provisions, commentaries and effective tax rate reconciliation
  
  
  • Annual preparation of Tax returns and calculation of liabilities
  
  
  • Payment estimate calculations and processing tax payments
  
  
  
  


• Support on time and accurate responses for various audit requests, Fin 48 activities, tax reports, tax payments and support audit projects like R&D, Withholding tax and ensure compliance with process metrics.

• Coordinate/support other activities like Self audit adjustments, audit closures etc. with compliance teams.


• Enthusiastic and proactive at engaging with colleagues on Data Quality Assurance.


• Meet process metrics and implement necessary actions for countries in scope


• Support continuous professional development and good practices in MDT.

• Keeps abreast of business developments and changes in tax laws.


• Comply to Shell Group records management & Information risk management procedures and manage the working papers and supporting documentation related to the tax returns

• Continuous focus on improvement opportunities in process & content, identify & actions opportunities to reduce complexity, promote best practices, provide focus on financial issues & achieve operational excellence.


• Pursue identification & implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) project pipeline and aid in achieving the process targets.

Requirements:

Recognized professional qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Further you will need to have the following:
