Their core responsibilities include identifying land opportunities, securing funding, managing risk, obtaining regulatory approvals, overseeing design and construction, and selling or leasing the finished property .

Key roles and responsibilities of a real estate developer include:

Feasibility and Site Selection: Conducting market research to identify opportunities, analyzing demographic trends, and performing site searches.
Funding and Finance Management: Securing capital through bank loans, private investors, or government grants and managing the project budget to ensure profitability.
