Finance Assistant

Role

• To be a member of the finance team and to support the Group Financial Controller and Finance Manager by being the main link between the clients, office and crew.

Responsibilities

• 
  Creating and posting of sales invoices using our time management system and dealing with any queries


• Continuously liaising with operations and clients to create, confirm and amend credit limits, job progression and any queries with invoicing


• Confirmation of hours and jobs within CRM as well as management of crew overtime emails


• Invoice queries from clients


• Regular contact with clients regarding credit control


• Maintaining and updating banking ledgers including receipts, payments and petty cash


• Bank reconciliations


• Monthly crew payroll, including creation, submission and queries


• Managing accurate and efficient sales and purchasing day books


• Managing and processing purchase orders and invoices


• Invoice queries to and from suppliers


• Providing various weekly reports as required


• Various other finance duties as per the varying requirements of the business

Requirements

Key Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting


• Must have worked as finance/accounts assistant for 2 years in UAE in small/medium sized Company


• Experience in working on Sage is preferred


• Be approachable and trusted by the crew


• Highly organized and able to plan and multi-task


• Adapts quickly to changes


• Good communication skills


• Good team player


• Able to identify problems in the crewing process and resolve them in a quick and timely manner


• Able to work under pressure and motivate a team to deliver even in difficult circumstances
