Job Description
- As a Microservice & API Expert at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in expanding the Digital Core team. Your primary responsibility will involve running technical deep dive and architecture sessions with customers and partners. You will showcase SnapLogic's capabilities, offer advice on integration with SAP ERP, S/4 systems, and Salesforce, and leverage APIs and microservices to deliver effective solutions.
Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will demonstrate Proof of Concepts, provide guidance on SnapLogic use, integration patterns with SAP ERP and S/4 systems, Salesforce, etc. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers, you will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing APIs for software applications. Additionally, you will analyze, design, and coordinate the development of major components of the API management system and downstream APIs.
Your role will also require you to partner with other architects, vendors, partners, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into capability/platform roadmaps. You will implement standards and design patterns to monitor, manage, and secure communication between microservices in a distributed application. Furthermore, you will ensure coding standard processes and test coverage through peer reviewing, supporting Siemens Energy internal and external customers across oceans.
To excel in this role, you should possess 4-6 years of work experience in API Management, with at least 2+ years in Microservices-based Architecture. A degree in engineering with Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience is essential. Your expertise in technology consulting, architecture, and design focusing on microservices, service mesh, and API Management will be crucial. Proficiency in modern API concepts like GraphQL, gRPC, and Async APIs, along with experience in architecting, deploying, and maintaining Kong Mesh infrastructure, will be beneficial.
You should have a solid understanding of microservice design patterns, service mesh concepts, and web methodologies such as REST Architecture, SOA, ESB, APIs, Web Services, WSDL, Open API, XML, and JSON. Additionally, familiarity with interface architecture knowledge related to ERP, CRM, and PLM systems like SAP, S/4 Hana, Salesforce, Teamcenter, or Oracle is advantageous.
