The Regional Compliance Officer will be responsible for working directly with SGRE stakeholders within the assigned region. The incumbent will be a primary compliance resource with responsibilities of measuring stakeholders Compliance and Anti-Fraud programs; driving training and awareness initiatives; and providing guidance and support. Will partner and liaison with business unit representatives to ensure that all policies and controls are practical, efficient and workable; captures SGRE policies and expectations, as well as regulatory requirements.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Implements and manages an effective compliance program.
- Advises management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations.
- Creates and manages effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
- Assesses company operations and procedures to determine compliance risk and process weaknesses.
- Ensures all employees are educated on the latest compliance regulations and processes.
- Leads local investigations.
- Assists on central investigations.
- Resolves employee concerns about compliance.
- Continuously contributes to the improvement of the Compliance System.
- Masters / Bachelor’s degree in law or finance.
- 8+ years’ proven experience in a compliance officer role.
- Excellent knowledge of regional regulations related to compliance.
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Ability to communicate and interact internal and external in an effective and professional manner.
- Ability to assume responsibility for multiple topics and resolve them effectively with a minimum of
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
