Software Development Engineer - C# / .NET

Altair RapidMiner is a platform of products which offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions from data ingestion and modeling to operationalization and visualization. As part of the Data Analytics platform, Altair offers the Monarch Product Family, comprising of the Monarch Desktop and Monarch Server suites.
Monarchs primary goal is to capture unstructured and semi-structured data from sources such as TXT, PDF and XML and transform it into structured data that can be easily consumed by analytics tools and other business processes. Secondary to this is Data Prep Studio, enabling preparation of data from a wider variety of semi-structured, structured and Big Data sources, empowering the user to access, cleanse, and blend their data interactively.
Monarch Server is distributed, scalable, enterprise platform offering further capabilities beyond the desktop offering, expanding and extending the Monarch engines capabilities via 3 key variations as product offerings.

• Automator Server - Is a data push and distribution platform. Users can define workflows to mine and transform information from databases, reports, documents (including PDF), and other text-based data, outputting to external databases, email, and documents (updated and new). Transformations and publishing can be scheduled, or event driven.
• Report Warehouse - Is a report and document content management platform. Reports and documents are read-in to a storage system and indexed. Users can retrieve the stored reports via a powerful query system and transform the selected documents to data views and Excel spreadsheets.
• Report Mining Server - Also known as RMS, is a web launchable report and document mining solution commonly used with third-party Content Management Systems (CMS) or Document Archives to extend those solutions to include dynamic mining of selected content.
  

What You Will Do:

• Develop and maintain product features that involve utilizing algorithmic, architectural, and user interface focused skillsets
• Develop high-quality code that meets our product specifications and technical standards.
• Collaborate with fellow team members and other stakeholders located across the globe to achieve project goals
• Writing clean, maintainable, thoroughly tested, and shippable production code
• Participate in peer-based code reviews, both as a reviewee and as a reviewer
• Participate in feature design specification efforts
  
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test suites
• Fix code errors and maintain code bases in GIT/Bitbucket
  

What you will need:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or another relevant field
• 8+ years of product development experience creating commercial software.
• A comprehensive knowledge of Full Stack development tools, such as ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and C#
• Passion for coding and developing software
• Highly motivated to innovate in ways that bring tangible benefits to customers
• Strong knowledge of the object-oriented programming paradigm
• Strong oral and written communication
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay focused and to generate high quality results in a short amount of time

  Get Hired
  Strong experience working with the Microsoft .NET Stack
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to work as a single contributor as well as team player.
