Job Description
- As an IT Project Manager in our large federal entity's IT department, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and oversight of various ongoing projects. Your responsibilities will include participating in project design, assisting in the development of project plans, evaluating available resources, and implementing management plans for both new and existing projects.
To excel in this position, you must possess a strong grasp of Agile project management principles applicable to projects of varying scales. You should also feel comfortable taking on the roles of team lead and primary project liaison when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope and schedule, emphasizing regular and timely delivery of value.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders.
- Manage risks and issues, making necessary corrections to deviations from plans and conducting delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Develop initiatives for continuous business process improvements and monitoring.
- Lead the team in making informed business decisions regarding system implementation, modification, and maintenance.

- Establish and manage a well-defined project management process, driving continuous improvement efforts to implement best practices for agile project management.
- Develop an agile transformation plan to transition from the current state to a desired state.
- Utilize standard project performance metrics to assess and evaluate the program's progress.
