Job Description
- You will be joining Sky Volt, a prominent turnkey EPC player in the Indian PV solar industry, specializing in rooftop and distributed solar projects. With a track record of over 10 MW projects commissioned and 25 MW under execution, our company is dedicated to developing cost-effective and energy-efficient PV solar plants of any scale. At Sky Volt, our experienced in-house team upholds the highest quality standards in design, engineering, and construction, positioning us as a key player in the industry.
As a Solar Engineer at Sky Volt, your responsibilities will include coordinating with the project management team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a seamless workflow and efficient project execution. You will be tasked with developing and managing the site construction schedule, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines. Your role will also involve reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to provide guidance for construction activities.
Supervision of day-to-day activities on-site is a crucial aspect of this role, where you will oversee compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Regular site inspections will be conducted by you to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. It will be your responsibility to address and resolve any technical or engineering issues that may arise on-site and implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met or exceeded.
Your duties will also include performing inspections and tests of materials and installations to verify compliance with engineering designs and specifications. Documentation of all inspections, tests, and modifications will be essential to ensure traceability and accountability. Enforcing health and safety protocols on-site to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment is a critical part of your role. Additionally, you will conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks to ensure that all team members understand site safety requirements.
In your interactions with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, you will provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns proactively. Managing site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and change orders, will also fall under your purview.

To be considered for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and possess a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in site engineering for ground-mounted solar projects. Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, including design, installation, and commissioning, is essential. Proven experience in project management, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, along with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are prerequisites. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously are qualities that we value at Sky Volt.
