About role

SLB has an opening for a Data Analyst- Manufacturing Data Services, who will provide technical and functional support to Master Data Management team for SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) & Quality Management (QM). The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and creating master data for the ERP systems in his/her domain and provide support to resolve incidents related to them.

The end users supported are the global community in SLB using these systems. In accordance with business needs, this role would be responsible for ensuring and improving the functional and technical quality and management of the above-mentioned applications with a focus on data quality, sufficiency and completeness. He/she should constantly strive for process and system improvement to deliver measurable increases in efficiency and should be able to provide real-time support to business users

Key responsibilities

Functional support

· Responsible for analyzing requirements, design, develop and implement Enterprise Master Data solutions

· Co-ordinate the testing and deployment of fixes and new functionalities in the production systems to ensure testing scenarios are complete and have undergone full regression testing before deployment to production

· Responsible for the proper support of master data and resolution of all tickets in a timely manner, as per Service Level Agreements (SLA) goals.

· Execute and monitor the processes and technology within the defined SLA’s to cleanse, standardize and/or enrich data in the enterprise systems.

· Analyze trends and statistics to create action plans for process improvement.

· Help/assist the end users of the business systems and report their feedbacks/pain points.

· Ensure processes alignment with company policies and report and investigate any process deviation to ensure continuous improvement on service quality.

· Initiate, develop, and share best practices & lessons learned, across the data pillar.

· Analyze business operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.

Application co-ordination & support

· Complete the incident processes in Remedy Incident Management and due follow-ups

· Act as point of contact for all the knowledge of the master data

· Train & coach key users and end users on the correct use of the master data contained in those applications

Improve quality

· Consult key users about enhancements to applications and takes their feedback concerning key issues and redundancies

· Assist in testing of new application releases and testing’s focusing on data related changes and updates

· Produce metric reports on incoming tickets, trends etc. Ensures that the defined KPIs and SLAs in place are met for ticket resolution

· Proactively looks for ideas and opportunities based on his/her experience and understanding of the business users’ needs contributing to reduced failures and downtimes.

· Operate within the Security operations standards and guidelines

· Ensure that the application(s) business and technical documentation are kept up-to-date

· Ensure that the applications support procedures are kept up-to-date

· Verify and validate software compliance

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Key competencies

· Excellent understanding of Data Management, Database Technologies, Operating Systems Concepts, SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) such as Waterfall & Agile

· Must be familiar with different Testing tools & Techniques and Security concepts

· Sound Programming skills such as C++, .NET Technologies or Java Programming

· Familiar with Windows servers, Oracle and MS SQL databases, with a strong working knowledge of PL/SQL

· Good to have a basic understanding of functional data requirements, and functional data quality and compliance

· Understanding of Business Process Management and ETL conversion/integration capabilities is desirable

· Understanding on requirement gathering, creating requirement specifications and working on documenting use cases is a must
