Lead Data Engineer (51613)

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and supporting delivery plans and cross functional alignment with business intelligence and master data management delivery programs. Key responsibilities include developing roadmaps and data architecture strategies, collecting requirements, designing efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate will thrive in all phases of a project lifecycle including; Discovery, Planning, Prioritization, and Execution.

This position is responsible for administrating, maintaining, configuring, and supporting activities related to BI Platforms and applications for enterprise business processes. Performs setup, configuration, and updates to applications, including automation to improve platform performance. Recommends changes in applications development, maintenance and system standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Scrum master of BI Platforms and Development Operations for a team responsible for:

• Provisioning system user access and creating new user roles
• Implementing best practices for platform security and stability
• Manage support queues and ensure that service level SLAs are met
• Support an ecosystem of continuous delivery pipeline tooling, through integration and automation for various BI platforms
• Reviews troublesome workbooks and data sources and provides suggestions to users for improvements.
• Collaborates and Interfaces with storage, server, authentication, database and other server/platform engineers / administrators to support ongoing operations for meeting the business needs via the Power BI platform

• Advance the adoption of BI best practices across the company. Supports and establishes standards for platform usage. Maintains user knowledgebase
• Build automation necessary to achieve and maintain optimum BI platform performance, reliability, and availability in serving the analysis needs
• Assist in the production of project status reports by collating information from tracking tools and delivery team members. Leverage graphical representation of data when appropriate
• Analyze and deliver project tracking information in a clear and concise manner, including using graphical representation of the data
• Work with a global team to ensure communication of accurate and timely project status, issues, risks, and scope changes
