Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Database & Process Intelligence Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud database services, infrastructure operations, automation, and database performance optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting EC (Energy Components) and PI (Process Intelligence) teams by managing AWS-based database platforms, infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, disaster recovery, compliance, and cloud operations.

Experience in Oil & Gas / Upstream domain projects will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support AWS RDS / Aurora databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server environments.

• Handle schema management, database lifecycle operations, and database provisioning activities.

• Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN, Data Pump, and AWS snapshots.

• Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, Enhanced Monitoring, CloudWatch, and Datadog.

• Configure and manage Multi-AZ deployments, Read Replicas, storage scaling, failover, and disaster recovery processes.

• Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts for performance and operational efficiency.

• Manage IAM roles, access controls, encryption, audit logging, and compliance-related activities (ISO/GDPR).

• Perform AWS instance provisioning, right-sizing, parameter group configuration, and infrastructure deployments.

• Support lift-and-shift migration activities for database and infrastructure workloads.

• Maintain operational documentation, infrastructure records, and platform runbooks.

• Collaborate with hosting and platform teams for infrastructure maintenance and operational governance.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS resource provisioning and management.

• Manage GitHub repositories and support CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions.

• Support change management activities including planned and unplanned maintenance operations.

• Review and optimize infrastructure licensing and asset management processes including Flexera usage.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS RDS / Aurora.

• Expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server database administration.

• Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL development.

• Experience with backup & recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and AWS snapshots.

• Hands-on experience with Multi-AZ, Read Replicas, failover handling, and disaster recovery.

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of IAM, encryption, audit logging, and compliance standards.

• Strong documentation and operational support experience.

Good to Have:

• Experience in Oil & Gas / Upstream domain.

• Exposure to other cloud platforms apart from AWS.

• Experience with infrastructure governance and asset tracking tools.

• Knowledge of Flexera licensing optimization.
