SQL Development Manager

Location: Currently remote will be onsite in Bangalore from December 2025

• Review and fine-tune the existing database architecture.
  
• Design a new schema to hold data for the product that is evolving every day.
  
• Keep a tab on the performance of the SQL queries used in the application.
  
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of SQL developers and Power BI developers.
  
• Ability to create monitoring tasks for effective management of the storage and for enhancing the performance of the application and any other reports that rely on the data.
  
• Understand fundamentals of data preparation/data modelling necessary for the visualization purpose.
  
• Capture reporting requirements from various stakeholders, architect the solution/report, understand/analyse the source data and deliver the reports in timely manner.
  
• 
  Create Data Sets and Data models to build intelligence upon.
  
• Strong expertise in designing intuitive and interactive reports/dashboards using Power BI for data driven decisions.
  
• Develop and own various integration tools and data points.
  
• Extract, Transform and Load data from multiple systems for reporting into BI platform.
  
• Work closely with the Project manager to deliver on business requirements OTIF (on time in full)
  
• Understand the cross-functional business data points thoroughly and be SPOC for all data-related queries.
  

Requirements

• Strong at SQL
  
• Strong experience in Database and Data warehouse modelling techniques and SQL queries.
  
• A good understanding of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Power BI report solutions.
  
• Ability to create KPIs, visualizations, reports, and dashboards based on business requirement.
  
• Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.

• Be able to implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI
  
• Proficiency in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
  
• Expertise in using advanced level calculations on data sets.
  

• Strong Knowledge in developing SQL Queries.
  
• Strong knowledge in SQL database & SQL DW.
  

• Good knowledge of DWH concepts.
  
• Knowledge in Power BI (DAX + Power Query + Power BI Service + Power BI Desktop Visualizations)
  
• Implementing Access Control and impose required Security.
