Fintech Lead / Senior Developer

8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 4 years building production fintech systems lending, payments, KYC/KYB, or banking-as-a-service.
Hands-on experience with SOC 2 readiness and implementation (Type I / Type II). You know what auditors look for and how to build systems that pass without stalling the business.
Strong grasp of underwriting principles and credit-risk modeling for small and mid-sized businesses.
Working knowledge of the US regulatory environment around lending, money transmission, sanctions (OFAC), and BSA/AML.
Experience integrating with providers like Column, Plaid, Credit Safe, Unit, Stripe Treasury, Persona, or comparable BaaS and identity platforms.
Comfortable writing code as well as architecting you lead by reviewing, building, and unblocking.
Detail-oriented. In fintech, details are the product.
Clear communicator in English you will work closely with a US-based founder and an India-based engineering org.
Nice to Have
Prior exposure to global trade, cross-border payments, trade finance, or supply chain finance.
Experience obtaining or operating under a banking or lending license (e.g., NBFC, state lending licenses).
Past leadership at a fintech startup that went from MVP to scale.
Familiarity with shadow-mode / ML-in-the-loop architectures for continuous learning from human corrections.
