Job Description
An Accounts Assistant plays a crucial role in the finance department of an organization, providing essential support to accountants and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. This position involves a variety of clerical and administrative tasks that contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

Location - Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist to Finance Manager
- Daily FinancialActivities:Helpwithdailyfinancialactivitiessuchashandlingsales and purchase ledgersand performingsimplebookkeeping tasks.
- RecordMaintenance:Keepproperrecords ofthefinancial transactions, includingbillsand expense reports.
- Reconciliations:Ensurethe accuracy of allbankandotherfinancial recordsandundertakereconciliationof the banks.
- Communication: Monitorand handle alldaily communications.Replyto queriesanddealwith clients, suppliers, and third-party providers.
- Preparationof Documents: Prepare statutory accounts and financial reportswheneverneeded.
- Processandapproveinvoices and expenseclaimsandtherebyensuretimely payments.
- Overseecredit control activities;whichincludechasing debts andalsocontrolling credit limits.
RelevantQualifications:
- Aminimumofa degree ineitheraccounting, finance, oranyotherrelated fieldwillbepreferred but notinsisted on. Relevant certificationsforexampleAAT,orCPAwillincreaseemployability.
- Experienceisnotconsideredaprerequisiteforentry.Thoughfamiliarizationwith bookkeeping,andfinance throughaninternship,parttimeetc.willbepreferred
- Attention to detail: highaccuracy in handling financial data.
- ITskills:abletooperatespreadsheet softwaresuchasExceland accounting softwaresuchasQuickBooks.
- Organizational skills:ableto manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain organized records.

- Confidentiality: trustworthy when dealing with sensitive financial information.
Qualifications
Credit Control and Petty Cash management skills
Finance support and basic Accounting knowledge
Strong Communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Experience with financial software or tools is a plus
