In 2015-16, we identified the limitations of available technology and solutions in fashion forecasting and demand planning, which are often subjective. These traditional methods fail to address the fundamental challenges in fashion trend spotting and forecasting, leading to significant wastage in the industry. The business metrics of full-price sell-through remain around 50%, creating over USD 750 billion of wastage globally each year due to ill-informed decision-making.

We recognized the need for a different kind of technology and approach, which led to the creation of Stylumia. We are a Deep Tech company solving fundamental retail challenges. • Ability to self-start and work in a challenging environment by navigating ambiguity and bringing structure.
  
• Building production ready systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills using first principles.
• Prior internship experience in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Time-series, Forecasting, Data Science, AI) is a plus.
• Expertise in Python with strong coding skills, especially in ML frameworks such as PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• Experience in data wrangling and analyzing large, complex datasets, both structured and unstructured.
• Familiarity with transformer architectures and other deep learning models.
• Proven track record of building ML models through projects or internships.
• Bonus for in-depth experience in developing end-to-end unique projects.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams with high levels of collaboration.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and challenge the status quo when necessary.
  

• Contribute to all stages of ML projects, from translating complex business problems into machine learning problems, to performing data analysis and modeling, and providing solutions to the business.
• Work closely with the ML team on fast-moving projects involving research and development within natural language processing, forecasting, and other deep learning applications relevant to the fashion and retail industry.
• Train, fine-tune, and deploy Large Language Models for various business applications.
• Develop time-series forecasting models to predict fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders including product managers, business teams, and customer success teams to deliver impactful business insights.
