TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and document project deliverables and coordinate with different stake holders to make sure projects are on track.


• Maintain database technology inventory on DMS supported products.


• Work with Database Administrators and other stakeholders in defining process requirements.


• Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures for all supported database related platforms


• Create SCCM software packages for DMS supported patching or upgrades


• Support project development following documented standards, policies and procedures (Change Management Process), ensuring change tickets approvals, co-ordination with the EI(Enterprise Infrastructure) team


• Regular review of database maintenance and performance improvement procedures


• Occasional participation in after-hours and weekend support of production implementations, infrastructure activities, and various disaster recovery exercises


• Working closely with other team members, technical/team leads, management, specialized IT areas and application support teams to ensure consistent delivery and quality of database services


• Oracle and SQL Server client software installations - L1 SOP(Standard Operating Procedure) based


• Contribute ideas for best practice improvements, process improvement, and innovative solutions.


• Organizing and monitoring personal workload and escalating to manager when issues arise.


• Administrative intake process support


• Facilitate communication between DMS partners and related services groups



• Provide regular updates on status of the assigned tasks via dashboard/tracker.


• Continuous Improvement: Sharing ideas for process improvement and innovative solutions to known problems


• Server order, creation of change management ticket, Installation of client tools


• Support SQL Server installation , pre and post configuration


• Adherence to documented standards and procedures.


• Oracle Client Installation


• Sybase Client Installation


• Toad Requests (Process and inventory management)

• Understand database concepts - Server, Instance, Cluster, Storage, Mount Points, Anchor Drive


• Basic knowledge of SQL Server & Oracle


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

DEGREE/ DEPLOMA IN: BCA or Bachelor of Science degree full time from a good reputed University 2-3 years industry experience

PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge or experience with Oracle, SQL Server

GOOD TO HAVE: Basic knowledge of tools like Service now, Jira & SCCM
