Role & Responsibilities

About the Role:

Data Analytics Engineer is an Individual Contributor role who provides actionable insights to multiple stakeholders ( both internal and external ) & will be part of the centralized data team in Freight Tiger and owns both the compute & publish layer for all the products of FT.

Key Responsibilities -

Data Analysis and Insights:

Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.

Provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Reporting & Visualization:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful dashboards and reports in Power BI.

Leverage Power BI features like DAX, Power Query, and advanced charting to create visually compelling and user-friendly reports.

Ensure reports and dashboards are optimized for performance and scalability.

Manage reporting layer (PowerBI), dashboards deployment and version control.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements.

Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment.

Data Governance and Quality:

Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reporting solutions.

Advocate for best practices in data visualization, analytics, and governance.

Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory data policies.

Leadership and Mentoring:

Lead and mentor junior analysts to develop their skills in data analytics and visualization.

Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Tool and Technology Expertise:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in Power BI and other analytics tools.

Evaluate and implement new BI tools and methodologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
