Job Description

You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong knowledge of Tamil Nadu politics and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support the political media monitoring team. Your role will involve tracking news and media coverage, categorizing political content, and preparing Excel-based reports.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring Tamil & English newspapers, TV debates, magazines, and online media for Tamil Nadu political coverage. You will track mentions of political leaders, parties, and constituencies, enter, clean, and organize data in Excel daily, categorize content (positive/negative/neutral, party-wise, issue-wise), generate structured Excel reports for political stakeholders, and summarize key political developments and media narratives.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of the Tamil Nadu political landscape including parties, leaders, and key issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, filtering, pivot tables, and charts is essential. Good communication skills in Tamil (reading/writing) and basic English are required, along with attention to detail and the ability to work with deadlines.

Preferred qualifications include prior experience in media monitoring, political research, or campaign analytics, as well as familiarity with digital tools for tracking online/social media.
The compensation for this position will be based on experience. It is a full-time job with food provided as a benefit. The work location is in person.,
