Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Executive at The Academy School, Pune located in Dange Chowk, tathawade, Pimpri- Chinchwad. The Human Resources Executive will be responsible for HR management, operations, employee relations, implementing HR policies, and overseeing human resources functions within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Develop and implement HR policies in alignment with educational regulations and labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation using HR software.
  • Oversee attendance, leave management, and ensure timely payroll coordination.
  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Coordinate professional development programs and track staff training needs.
  • Manage and Support performance management systems, including appraisals and goal-setting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with child protection, safeguarding, and health & safety standards.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with the schools values and mission.
  • Liaise with school leadership on workforce planning and organizational development.

    Provide HR metrics and reports to management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources*, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience*, preferably in education or a similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance in the education sector.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Empathy, discretion, integrity and a collaborative mindset.
