Role Description The Sales Manager role at Tata Capital is a full-time, on-site position based in Dindigul. The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of Tata Capitals financial products within the local market, including identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and meeting revenue and portfolio quality targets. Daily activities include prospecting and onboarding new customers, explaining product features and benefits, performing basic credit assessments, and coordinating with internal teams for approvals and documentation. The role also involves guiding and motivating a small sales team or channel partners, tracking performance metrics, and preparing regular sales reports. The Sales Manager is expected to maintain high standards of compliance, customer service, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and relationship management.
• Working knowledge of retail and SME financial products such as loans, housing finance, and consumer finance, with the ability to explain offerings clearly to customers.
• Proficiency in basic financial analysis and documentation review to support credit evaluation and compliant onboarding.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse customers and stakeholders in the Dindigul market.
• Experience in managing or coordinating with sales teams, channel partners, or field executives to achieve sales targets.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in reporting, documentation, and follow-up.
• Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office applications, and digital platforms for sales tracking and customer engagement.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; prior experience in financial services or banking sales is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Dindigul, with local market knowledge and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
