Senior Manager- PSO Finance

What are the Key Deliverables in this role

Financial Outcomes

? Financial Planning: Lead and co-ordinate all Primary Freight cost and Inventory planning across categories for Finished Goods including raw tea movement. Accountable for evaluation and recommendation of Capex investments. Responsible for review of all PSO cost and presenting the analysis to SVP Operations & SVP Planning & Logistics. Monthly reporting of consolidated PSO cost include operations cost, cost saving targets, business waste tracker. Lead the budgeting and LE exercise.

? Actionable Reporting Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, key business drivers and analyses key financial metrics including areas of Primary Freight, Inventory and overall PSO cost. Lead development of Modeling tools for efficient freight cost, Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis for reducing total delivery cost. Present financial evaluation of all capex proposals to SVP operations and major capex proposals in Capex committee for discussion and approval. Perform look back capex proposals and present to Capex committee on yearly basis.

? Cost Savings/Efficiencies: Work closely with the departmental Heads in analyzing & identifying avenues for Cost optimization & Working Capital Optimization thereby enabling effective decision making. This role requires active identification and solving of complex ad hoc problems that have impact on the direction of the business and influencing all the above stakeholders.

Customer Service

? Business Partnering & Cost Optimization:

• Coordinate and ensure projects are approved as per SOA (Schedule of Authority).
• Lead the Logistics reporting, rolling forecast and target setting processes, be able to connect different business areas (Foods/Beverages/RTE/RTC/ Soulfull) and act as an active partner to the logistics head.
• 
  Lead Inventory reduction & reduce write off along with S&OP, being a key focus area due to very large demand variability.
• Publish Business Waste Tracker at entity level covering wastes at different cost elements.
• Freight negotiations - Partner in freight / warehousing negotiations with business team
• Network analysis Identifying lanes and network with lowest freight rates.
• Participate in Annual budgeting exercise and latest estimates of entire PSO function and Primary logistics.

Internal Processes

? Financial Control & Compliance: To exercise financial controls in the areas of logistics, inventory and capex be able to appreciate the risks associated with these and implement a mitigation plan thereof. Handling & partnering Statutory Audit, Internal audit & IFC audit.

? Process Streamlining: Continuous improvement & optimization of processes and performance to enable TCPL internal and external customers to achieve higher quality, lower cost, and improve efficiency, leading to increased stakeholder satisfaction. Evaluating Financing opportunities for vendors and ensuring vendors are partnered for their growth requirement.

? Continuous Improvement: Partner PSO team in digital initiatives & support digital agenda for the business function. Drive & scaleup TMS for new business areas as well as increase cash discounting benefits.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role

? Chartered Accountant/ MBA

? 5-8 years of post-qualification business partnering experience, preferably in FMCG environment or related industry

? Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit

? Results-oriented mindset

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role

? Candidate having experience in Supply Chain Finance/ Procurement Finance experience is preferred.
