Job Description
- As a Support Consultant / Technical Support Consultant at Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and availability of critical systems to support caregivers worldwide. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining applications and infrastructure, conducting health checks and performance tuning of SQL databases, overseeing Windows servers and IIS functionality, monitoring interface subsystems, and providing first-level support for system incidents.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, patches, and configurations while minimizing downtime. Additionally, you will participate in root cause analysis for incidents, maintain documentation related to system configurations and incident responses, and ensure 24/7 uptime of critical systems to meet predefined SLAs.
To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. You should also have 2-4 years of experience in a systems monitoring and support role, familiarity with application performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, and Azure Monitor, basic knowledge of SQL databases and Windows Server administration, and understanding of networking concepts.
Preferred qualifications include understanding of healthcare applications, knowledge of ITIL best practices and frameworks, and proficiency in monitoring tools like AppDynamics and LogicMonitor. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for success in this role. Availability to work in a 24x7 environment, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as required, is also necessary.
