Job Description

    As a Support Consultant / Technical Support Consultant at Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, your primary responsibility will be monitoring and maintaining the performance of critical systems to ensure the uptime and availability of applications and infrastructure. You will work with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, and Azure Monitor, as well as oversee SQL databases, Windows servers, and Internet Information Services (IIS). Your role will involve providing L1 and L2 support while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
    Your key responsibilities will include monitoring the performance and availability of applications and infrastructure, conducting health checks and performance tuning of SQL databases, managing Windows servers and IIS, monitoring interface subsystems for seamless data flow, providing first-level support for system incidents, maintaining documentation, participating in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams for system upgrades, ensuring 24/7 uptime of critical systems, and staying updated with industry trends to recommend improvements.
    To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, along with 2-4 years of experience in systems monitoring and support. Proficiency in application performance monitoring tools like AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, and Azure Monitor, basic knowledge of SQL databases, Windows Server administration, IIS management, and networking concepts is required. Moreover, experience in troubleshooting system issues, performing root cause analysis, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Availability to work in a 24x7 environment, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations, is also a requirement.
    Preferred qualifications include understanding of monitoring tools like AppDynamics and LogicMonitor, familiarity with healthcare applications, and knowledge of ITIL best practices and frameworks.
