The Context / Purpose of the Job
Responsible for managing the Refractory installation at Coke Plant to achieve or exceed project erection target in terms of output, quality, and cost and also to ensure customer satisfaction whilst maintaining safe environment and practices.

Responsible for managing the Refractory installation at Coke Plant to achieve or exceed project erection target in terms of output, quality, and cost and also to ensure customer satisfaction whilst maintaining safe environment and practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Overall objective of the role
- Study of erection drawings and ensuring procurement of materials (refractory and other related accessories), making erection plan to meet project schedule.
- Manage the installation & maintenance if required of refractories as per required quantity, quality, cost, and time targets
- Manage implementation of strategies and frameworks for continuous process to optimize and improve efficiency for erection of refractories .Collaborate with TQM team/planning team for improvement in erection procedures-Encourage, identify and implement new procedural development to meet customer demand, achieve greater savings, reduced wastage and higher productivity -Conduct deviation analysis for process parameters and take corrective and preventive action to make the process stable.
- Manage safety, health and environment (SHE) related to refractories and ensure adherence to statutory requirements. Take corrective and preventive measures to ensure that all the accidents are prevented -Organize on the job trainings to ensure that safe working conditions are created .Manage the implementation of quality and safety systems and inculcate a culture of safety in the department - Oversee proper implementation of safety rules for safety of the people and equipment and environment.
- Implementation of quality systems to ensure adherence to the quality standards.
- Management of human resources - to have an engaged, competent team and enable a working environment that drives high performance. Management of people in shifts and ensuring quality, production, safety in execution of job. Ensure timely mobilisation of resources at site for project execution. Management of man, material & machine at site.
- Identification, planning and execution of refractory work during commissioning of coke oven battery.
