About Process

Derivatives Acct & Rpt as a team is handling Derivatives Cash Settlement and Reporting Activities for various MetLife Line of Businesses. Activities help Controllers and the senior management in making business decisions. Applications used include RecoNet, PeopleSoft, HFM, Murex and many internal MetLife Applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monthly/ quarterly accounting entries for various derivatives cash accounts and daily settlements of hedges as per US GAAP.


• GAAP and STAT Accounting and reporting activities.


• Monthly and quarterly reconciliations and variance analysis.


• Performing Balance sheet certifications.


• Preparation of amortization schedules.


• Complete special requests and ad-hoc reports as requested.


• Calculation of monthly NII and reporting the same to client.


• Plan workflow for all deliverables in advance of month/ quarter end.



• Reconcile various accounts, or reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, and promptly researching and correcting any variances.


• Support financial analysis/reporting and the integrity of financial data.


• Document procedures and processes.


• Support process improvement consistent with Lean and Alteryx initiatives.


• Managing Stakeholders & understanding their requirements


• Prepare CMMI documentation for audit and knowledge about other internal reporting is required


• Managing and mentoring the team and addressing their concerns.

Skill set

• Experience in Accounting, reporting and reconciliations.


• Should have experience in handling end to end month end activities.


• Investigate, resolve and reconcile outstanding balances and items.


• Knowledge of Lean and CMMI.
