Job Description
As an Accounts Executive specializing in Tally, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining ledger accounts, and generating financial reports using Tally software. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data for effective decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry and Recording: Utilize Tally software to input and process accounting transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries. Ensure all entries comply with accounting principles and organizational policies.
- Ledger Management: Maintain updated and accurate ledger accounts for various financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Tally Configuration and Customization: Configure Tally software settings to align with organizational requirements and optimize accounting processes. Customize reports and modules to streamline data entry and retrieval.
- Financial Reporting: Generate standard and custom financial reports using Tally, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and aging reports. Verify the accuracy of reports and analyze financial data for discrepancies or anomalies.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns by providing accurate financial data extracted from Tally. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as necessary.
- Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing auditors with access to Tally data and supporting documentation. Prepare audit schedules, reconcile accounts, and address audit queries related to Tally entries.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to accounting staff on Tally software usage, features, and best practices. Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve user queries to ensure smooth operations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes through Tally customization, automation, or integration with other systems. Implement best practices to optimize Tally usage within the organization.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) working with Tally software in accounting or finance roles.

- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using Tally software for data entry, ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in Tally or relevant accounting software is a plus.
