Introduction:
This position will operate mainly within the Electronic Communication (eComm) Surveillance space, across the Global Compliance Technology arm of the bank, with the aim of ensuring that all regulatory, risk and control functions within the bank comply with new or amended regulatory requirements.
We are looking to add an experienced Business analyst to join our qualified and diverse team. The candidate chosen will analyse the quality, controls and completeness of the data which is sourced from various systems across the eComm landscape. He/She/They will develop strong relationships with the stakeholders across the Compliance functions to elicit requirements for their surveillance agenda. He/She/They will develop strategic/tactical plans and put processes in place to maintain and support data controls. He/She/They should have good financial business knowledge to understand the domain and confidently assess the core business need, so as to provide solutions imperative to the maintenance of critical Compliance applications. The candidate will have a good understanding of Technology and shall use that knowledge in drafting solution to business problems/requirements.
What will you be doing?
- Elicit, analyse, validate and manage business requirements
- Produce clear requirements specification documents using a structured analysis methodology. Use data-modelling techniques where appropriate
- Collaborate with the users and assist them in writing user stories
- Own the functional and technical specifications for business requirements
- Prepare end-to-end process flow diagrams
- Analyse data from upstream systems for correctness and completeness
- Write use-cases, oversee system testing and assist business users in UAT
- Work closely with Global technology development teams to ensure efficient delivery of technical solutions
- Formulate and produce test plans and test cases. Be involved in the various phases of testing to support development, to interrogate data during functionality testing, and to co-ordinate users and IT teams to achieve successful testing phases and quality assurance
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelors’ or equivalent degree from a recognised university
- Ability to tell a story using Data
- Good grasp of Data Science and Machine Learning concepts
- Highly analytical mind-set and a desire to dig deep into data
Skills that will help you in the role
- Working knowledge of SQL and VBA
- Prior experience in Surveillance/Compliance/Financial Crime Tech
- Basic understanding of Python and Big Data technologies
