Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Inspection & Testing: Perform in-process, final, and incoming quality inspections of raw materials, in-progress parts, and finished goods. Use standard measurement tools (Vernier, micrometer, gauges, etc.) to check dimensions and tolerances. Conduct visual and dimensional checks for rubber, composite, and metal components.
2. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformities, rework, and corrective actions. Prepare quality control reports, inspection checklists, and quality certificates as per customer requirements. Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
3. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Investigate causes of quality issues and collaborate with production, design, and maintenance teams to resolve them. Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) based on non-conformance analysis. Track repetitive issues and recommend process modifications to reduce defects.
4. Standards & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal quality standards (ISO 9001 or equivalent). Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and product specifications. Assist in calibration and upkeep of inspection and testing equipment.
5. Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives. Recommend improvements in inspection techniques, tools, and sampling plans. Monitor production quality trends and suggest preventive measures.
Preferred candidate profile
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
4 - 8 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a mechanical manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
Exposure to rubber and composite product manufacturing.

Experience in foundry, fabrication, or wear part inspection.
Certification in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), or NDT Level II is a plus. Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
Hands-on experience with quality tools and measurement instruments.
Familiarity with ISO standards, inspection plans, and quality documentation
