Job Description
- Role Overview:
As an accountant at Teradata, your role will involve preparing journal entries, conducting analyses, and generating reports to support the monthly financial close. You will be responsible for analyzing inventory costs and variances, interpreting financial reports, and participating in balance sheet reviews. Your tasks will include working with auditors, ensuring accurate transaction records, and handling daily accounting tasks such as account reconciliation and processing inventory adjustments. Additionally, you will identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows and handle ad hoc reporting and projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and reports for the monthly financial close, including flux analysis
- Analyze inventory costs and variances to support financial decisions
- Participate in quarterly balance sheet reviews and prepare inventory balance sheet reconciliations
- Work with internal and external auditors, provide support for audits related to inventory
- Ensure accurate transaction records and compliance with accounting principles
- Perform daily accounting tasks like account reconciliation and processing inventory adjustments
- Create and enhance inventory job aids and tools for accurate training of personnel
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows
- Handle ad hoc reporting and projects as needed
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience

- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, specifically Inventory costing and general ledger
- Well-developed Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency
- Experience working in accounting for publicly traded companies with international operations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
