About the Company: The New Shop is Indias largest convenience store chain, operating a franchise network of 24-hour open convenience stores strategically located in high-density areas such as neighborhoods and transit hubs. With a rapidly expanding footprint, adding 1 store a day, the company aims to open 10,000 franchised stores by 2030. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Executive with 4-5 years of experience in retail and FMCG companies to join our team and contribute to the financial management and success of our growing organization.

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, expense management, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports for management review.
• Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
• Assist in tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management activities.
• Maintain vendor relationships and handle queries related to accounts and payments.
• Assist in conducting periodic internal audits and support external audits when required.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles in retail or FMCG companies.
