Senior Analyst, Business Planning & Analysis

The focus of the BM team is on ensuring compliance with global policies in the following areas:

• Finance and Headcount


• Management Reporting


• Governance/ Regulatory Oversight


• Information Risk Management


• Support/ Projects/ Change Management

BM is currently responsible for all ASO locations including multiple locations across the US, EMEA and Asia. These locations may be amended in line with organisational changes.

Specifically the job-holder will be required to input to and in many cases manage the following tasks and projects for their ASO division:

• Conducts analyses and reporting in support of general business operation and planning activities.


• Financials
  
  
  
  • Review operational data/metrics to help BM and Finances teams to complete annual plan; gather and organize input from Operations leads.
  
  
  • Extrapolate and compile analysis from monthly Financial Performance reviews for use in reports or presentations.
  
  
  • Gather and organize Efficiency & Expense tracking across organization including execution and synthesizing of outcomes to drive actions
  
  
  
  


• Workforce
  
  
  
  • Assist with headcount planning across organization including providing analytical support for forecasting
  
  
  • Support open requisition and approval process
  
  
  • Provide analytical support for the Operations RTB / CTB tagging and translation into financial outcomes
  
  
  
  


• 
  Management Reporting & Metrics
  
  
  
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely MIS and Metrics to internal parties.
  
  
  • Contribute to the production and oversight of the daily, weekly, monthly executive management metrics for the operations organization
  
  
  • Drive collection of data for MBRs / IBRs process; coordinate input for internal / external stakeholder engagement including Client meetings.
  
  
  
  


• Governance & Administration
  
  
  
  • Provide analytical support to achieve project objectives, on both reoccurring and ad-hoc actions.
  
  
  • Support the entry level programs (Interns/ Analysts) in manager and project alignments.
  
  
  • Mandatory training monitoring.
  
  
  • Tracking of tasks assigned to the operational teams to ensure delivered in a timely manner in line with expectations and policy.
  
  
  • Support the facilitation and coordination of the Policies and Procedure Forum (PPF).
  
  
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks which are allocated by the Head of ASO Business Management & the Division Heads
  
  
  
  


• Development of efficient and automated solutions in the areas of responsibilities set out above.

Key Skills / Requirements

Communication

• Prepare and communicate status reports as relevant to all areas of the program of work and ensure the communication is appropriate for the audience.


• Conduct and participate as required in any meetings and initiatives related to the program of work.


• Actively participate in cross department & location management team meetings as required


• Promote an environment of open and clear communication and maintain a positive, constructive and professional relationship with internal and external parties.

Technical Skills

• Sound technical understanding of Accounting function & products as they relate to the production of NAV & related figures, dealing, distribution & reporting will be an advantage.


• Knowledge of implementing processes & systems, documentation & articulating business requirements, and managing change & risk within an operations environment.


• The ability to project and program manage with a focus on cross discipline process, technology and service solutions.


• Candidate needs to demonstrate problem-solving skills


• Very good knowledge of Excel. VBA and basic programming skills in data mining/analysis software (e.g. Python or R) would be an advantage but is not a requirement

• Excellent organization, teamwork & leadership skills with the ability to direct and influence multiple work streams across locations.


• Excellent analytical, planning and time management skills. Proactive and focused attitude with the ability to perform and succeed under pressure, consistently meeting deliverables.


• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Strong presentation, influencing, negotiation and report writing skills with the ability to clearly articulate and record issues.


• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and bring issues to conclusion.

Experience & Qualifications

• Demonstrate experience and track record of management and delivery of programs of work covering multiple disciplines across multiple business functions. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.


• Relevant experience in the investment funds industry and / or a degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on team and program management.
