About the Role
- We are hiring multiple positions within the Consumer Credit Risk function and are seeking highly skilled professionals with strong experience in investment banking or global financial institutions. The Credit Risk Specialist will play a key leadership role in strategy, governance, operations, data management, and technology transformation across the credit risk lifecycle.
- This is a senior strategic position responsible for enhancing risk frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving process automation, and managing cross-functional initiatives to improve decisioning and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance:
- Lead large, cross-functional teams overseeing credit risk operations, data, and compliance initiatives.
- Develop and execute strategies to strengthen governance, internal controls, and operational risk frameworks.
- Establish standards, policies, and best practices to align with global credit risk management expectations.

Credit Risk Data & Lifecycle Management:
- Own and manage the end-to-end credit risk data lifecycle, including sourcing, integration, transformation, quality controls, and reporting.
- Implement strong data governance practices-metadata management, lineage, validation, and audit controls.
- Oversee integration of third-party and alternative data sources to support risk modeling and decisioning.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation of credit risk data across internal systems.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to credit risk, data governance, model risk, and reporting.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data quality, compliance, models, and operational processes.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Audit, Risk, IT, and Finance to drive adherence to governance standards.
Technology, Innovation & Process Optimization:
- Lead automation, digital transformation, and efficiency initiatives-including the adoption of AI/ML techniques for data processing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering/IT teams on technology enhancements, platform upgrades, and tool implementation.
- Champion innovation to streamline operations, reduce manual dependencies, and improve timeliness of insights.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external data providers, technology vendors, and consulting partners.
- Drive transparent communication and alignment across global teams and senior leadership.
- Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and executive reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Financial Services, Investment Banking, Tech Operations, or Program Leadership.
- Strong understanding of credit risk models, decisioning frameworks, portfolio analytics, and regulatory reporting.
- Hands-on experience in data governance, risk controls, and credit operations.
- Technical proficiency in SAS and SQL; exposure to AI/ML tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, programs, and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a global, matrixed environment and lead transformation programs.
