Job Title: Software Engineer – Android Automotive (Apple CarPlay Integration)

Location: Bangalore (Work from Office – 5 Days a Week)

Job Overview

We are hiring experienced Android Automotive Software Engineers to develop and integrate Apple CarPlay features on Android Automotive (AAOS/AOSP) infotainment platforms. The role involves Android framework development, system-level programming, CarPlay integration, debugging, performance optimization, and supporting Apple certification activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Apple CarPlay features
  
  on Android Automotive (AAOS/AOSP) platforms.
• Implement CarPlay projection, connection management, Siri integration, audio playback, and recovery mechanisms.
• Develop Binder IPC and AIDL-based Android services for seamless CarPlay communication.
• Work across Android Framework, Native Layer, and HAL components.
• Debug Android framework and native-level issues including crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze system issues using ADB, Logcat, Perfetto, Android Studio Profiler, and other debugging tools.
• Support Apple CarPlay certification, validation, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with QA, platform, and certification teams to deliver production-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentor junior engineers when required.

Required Skills

• 3–9 years of experience in Android Automotive (AAOS/AOSP) or Android system-level development.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, and C++.
• Hands-on experience with Apple CarPlay integration.
• Good knowledge of Android Framework, Binder IPC, AIDL, Android Services, and Service Lifecycle.
• Experience with JNI (Java Native Interface) and native Android development.
• Strong debugging skills for Android framework and native-layer issues.
• Familiarity with CarPlay communication architecture and projection technologies.
• Experience working on Automotive Infotainment Systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Exposure to Apple CarPlay certification process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
