POSITION 1: AGNI Project Manager Consultant

(Brand Development, Market Linkages & Government Liaison)

Organization: AGNI Artisans Growth Network of India

Project description: Women-led Enterprise & Brand

Location: Alwar, Rajasthan (with travel across the district and Delhi)

Engagement Type: Consultant(Full-time)

Duration: 12 months (extendable)

  • Role Summary

The AGNI Project Manager will provide end-to-end leadership in setting up and operationalizing a women-led constituency-level brand by working across product development, logistics, market linkages, government coordination, and partner management. The role requires a hands-on professional capable of translating grassroots production into market-ready, scalable enterprises.

  • Key Responsibilities
  1. Brand & Enterprise Setup

Lead end-to-end establishment of the AGNI brand from pilot to scale.

Develop operational SOPs for production, quality control, logistics, pricing, and revenue-sharing.

Support the formation and strengthening of SHG clusters and producer groups.

  1. Market Linkages & Business Development
  • Identify and onboard buyers, including corporates, retail outlets, exhibitions, institutions, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Generate orders for women-produced goods and manage client relationships.
  • Develop pricing models, margins, and order fulfilment plans.
  1. Government Liaison & Convergence (Rajasthan + Central)
  • Liaise with Rajasthan State departments (Women & Child Development, Rural Development, Industries, MSME, NRLM, Tourism, Handicrafts, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Central Government schemes (PMFME, NRLM, NULM MSME, Skill India, GEM, CSR initiatives).
  • Support documentation, MOUs, proposals, and approvals for funding, procurement, and partnerships.
  1. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
  • Oversee raw material procurement, production scheduling, storage, and dispatch.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining quality standards.
  • Set up warehousing, packaging, and transportation systems.
  1. Field Implementation & Team Coordination
  • Supervise field mobilisers, trainers, and cluster coordinators.
  • Coordinate training calendars and production plans with Product Designer and Training Teams.
  • Ensure smooth communication between SHGs, artisans, buyers, and internal teams.
  1. Reporting, Monitoring & Documentation
  • Prepare monthly progress reports, impact dashboards, and donor/CSR documentation.

  • Track income generation, womens participation, production volumes, and order fulfilment.
  • Support the development of case studies, success stories, and learning notes.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Masters degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Rural Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 810 years of experience in livelihood programmes, SHG-based enterprises, MSME development, handicrafts, rural value chains, or social enterprise ecosystems.
  • Proven experience in market linkages, government coordination, and enterprise development. Pool of market connects.
  • Prior experience working in Rajasthan is strongly preferred.
  • Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of SHG ecosystems, rural value chains, and government schemes.
  • Ability to work across field and desk environments.
  • Strong planning, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution orientation.
  • Comfortable with travel and grassroots engagement.
  • Desirable Attributes
  • Experience working with women producer groups or cooperatives.
  • Exposure to handicrafts, handlooms, food processing, or rural enterprises.
  • Experience managing donor-supported programmes.
  • Ability to work independently in startup environments.
  • Compensation

Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
