Job Description
- As a Data Scientist at Thoughtworks, you will be responsible for leading and executing data science projects by leveraging your expertise in statistics, modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining methodologies. Your role involves integrating this expertise with a deep understanding of related domains to provide valuable business insights and drive effective decision-making processes. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will convey your findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure data quality and security while mentoring junior team members.
Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing data science projects from inception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data and AI, designing and implementing data science strategies for measurable business outcomes, and communicating technical findings clearly to stakeholders. You will also contribute to the growth of the data science community, promote data literacy within the organization, address ethical concerns using FATTER AI principles, and work with CD4ML practices and data versioning tools.
In terms of technical skills, you are expected to have experience in analyzing and modeling datasets, statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, machine learning, and deep learning techniques. You should be proficient in R, Python, or equivalent tools, capable of gathering and preprocessing large volumes of data, developing machine learning models, evaluating model performance, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. Additionally, possessing professional skills such as stakeholder management, adaptability in ambiguous situations, risk management, coaching, and team leadership is essential.
