Job Summary
Management Reporting
Coordinate with Hub Accounting team on month end close and prepare management financial reports including draft Budvar analysis and comments. Review balance sheet, revenue and related expense, thereby ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of results and comparative analysis. Assist in GST, PIT and WHT related reconciliations, reviews, workings, audit and compliance including ARCS Completion.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist Controller Business Finance in Budgeting and Forecasting process, coordinating with operations and other functional teams on data inputs, review of output reports and preparation of presentation material.
Financial Statements
Liaise with Statutory Reporting teams and Statutory and Internal Auditors on preparation of the local statutory financial statements in accordance with IGAAP, Companies Act 2013 and required relevant financial standards / acts including coordinating with relevant external professional advisers.
Operations Support
Support Operations team to ensure financials strategically capture, carefully estimate and skillfully communicate business impacting events and assist them to fully understand their operating costs in order to generate savings / improvements.
Contracts, Invoicing & Receivable
Provide information on tenders, prepare uplift to day rate calculations for change of locale, calculate rate adjustments in line with contractual requirements, and perform various ad hoc requests related to current and potential campaigns within location. Support on customer billing including assistance in follow-up and tracking receivables. Prepare draft Contract Brief.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate and timely monthly/ quarterly and year-end financial reports and analysis, including review of both Management Cost Centre and Statutory Legal Entity Budvars. Follow up with Hub Accounting for any corrections or changes to be booked in following periods for both management and statutory accounts. Monitor changes in IGAAP and communicate these locally and with Aberdeen Hub to ensure no gaps.
- Support Indirect Tax reporting (GST, PIT and WHT) through review of accounts, reconciliations, returns and compliance including ARCS Completion and review of Matching using BOTS.
- Work with Operations and other functions to help create operational budgets and forecasts, based on corporate timetables and guidelines including business information and financial insights with the objective of analyzing the trend of results and possible variations against the stipulated goals.
- Monitor execution of and compliance with local controls across all departments, including compilation of control evidence and completion of quarterly ICQ.
- Support on timely and correct customer billing, Track receivable and support to resolve any billing issues or requirements. Evaluate opportunities for cost-savings/control and provide suggestions for improvement, including but not limited to accounting.

- Minimum Required: Bachelors Degree, Professional Qualifications
- Preferred Level: Masters Degree, CA or CPA

- Preferred Level: Drilling contractor or O&G background.
- Minimum Required: Microsoft Office, Highly Proficient in Excel, ERP system.
- Preferred Level: Strong analytical skills, Detail Oriented with ability to assess financial impact at a consolidate/cross functional level.
