Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Assistant to join our Skin Care Manufacturing Firm. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in bookkeeping, possess excellent mathematical and analytical skills, and be proficient in using accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system, including but not limited to sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Verify, allocate, and post transactions to the appropriate ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure consistency and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and following up on outstanding invoices.
- Maintain and update the general ledger to provide an accurate financial picture of the companys transactions and financial position.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as requested by management.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management, including tracking inventory movements and valuations.
- Participate in audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary documentation and information as required.
- Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with changing financial standards.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or skincare industry.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

- Solid understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations is a plus.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
