Development & IT Manager - Portal Development

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Development and IT Manager for one of our prestigious clients (Semi Govt entity) to lead and manage the development of a large-scale portal and its related IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with external vendors, QA teams, and other key stakeholders to oversee API integrations, cloud activities, and system development. This role requires a minimum of5 years of experience in IT development and managementand the ability to work independently while driving technical projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management:Collaborate with external vendors to oversee the portals development, enhancement, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Quality Assurance:Coordinate with QA teams to ensure effective execution of QA and UAT, addressing issues promptly and ensuring smooth project progress.
• API Integration:Manage API integration activities, ensuring effective communication and troubleshooting any related challenges.
• Cloud Management:Work closely with the relevant teams on deployment, optimization, and management of the portals cloud infrastructure.
• Stakeholder Coordination:Facilitate effective communication and project updates with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Team Leadership:Supervise a small team, including a Vendor Manager and a QA & Integration Specialist, providing mentorship and driving project success.
• Project Management:Oversee the entire lifecycle of portal development, from planning and design to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  
• Independent Handling:Manage multiple complex tasks and projects independently, maintaining clear documentation and communication with senior leaders.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• MTech / Ph.D. with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience, or
• B.Tech/BE with a minimum of 7 years of experience in IT development and management, specifically in portal development.
• Proven expertise in portal development, API integration, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Experience in managing external vendors and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly in collaboration with government entities like NIC.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with project management tools and practices.
• Experience with government or large-scale national initiatives is a plus.
