Job Description
Responsibilities
- Market Strategy Development: Lead market research and customer demand analysis for MEA new energy market (focus on energy storage systems), and design targeted sales strategies and implementation plans.
- Competitive & Customer Insights: Conduct competitor analysis, build customer profiles, and drive intelligence gathering to identify growth opportunities.
- Sales Target Delivery: Take full responsibility for achieving annual direct sales targets in the MEA region, ensuring timely completion across all assigned product lines.
- Client Engagement & Negotiation: Develop and maintain direct engagement with key energy companies, EPCs, and government departments, including technical exchanges, proposal presentations, bidding, and contract negotiations.
- Belt and Road Client Support: Collaborate closely with Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and Belt and Road initiative clients, aligning with China headquarters and supporting their local energy storage projects.
- Customer Development & Relationship Management: Expand customer base in MEA, ensure satisfaction ≥90%, and promote continuous repurchase and upselling.
- Project Execution Support: Partner with technical teams to deliver customized solutions, following through from design to implementation.
- Delivery Coordination & Milestone Management: Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure all project milestones are met on time.
- Policy & Strategy Optimization: Monitor energy policy and business environment changes in key markets, provide insights for strategy optimization, and deliver regular market intelligence reports.
- Key Account & Large Project Development: Proven ability to identify, develop, and close large-scale energy storage projects, with strong experience in managing complex stakeholder engagement and long-cycle sales processes.
- New Market BD & Pioneering Capability: Strong track record in business development in emerging markets, including market entry strategies, local partnership setup, and driving growth from initial stage to scalable business.
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of sales experience in the new energy industry, with a proven track record in energy storage sales to both Chinese SOEs (央国企) and MEA regional clients.
- Belt and Road Project Experience: Demonstrated capability in supporting Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects in MEA, ensuring effective cross-border collaboration between China headquarters and local operations.
- Local Market Knowledge: Familiar with the business environment, government processes, and compliance requirements; experience working with major utility companies is preferred.
- Channel Resources: Strong understanding of local sales channels with the ability to build and manage cooperative networks.

- Technical Understanding: Solid basic knowledge of and energy storage systems, including key product parameters
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, New Energy, International Trade, Marketing, or related fields.
- Business Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills; solid understanding of international contract terms and risk management; hands-on experience in the MEA market is preferred.
- Collaboration & Adaptability: Strong cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills, with resilience and self-motivation; able to manage frequent travel and multitasking effectively.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in both English and Chinese (business level) in order to liaise with Chinese counterparties.
