Job Description
- As a Lead Data Scientist in the Healthcare domain, you will be responsible for driving AI/ML initiatives, building predictive models, and delivering insights that transform healthcare solutions. Your role will involve leading end-to-end data science projects in healthcare, developing advanced ML, Deep Learning, and NLP models, working with structured and unstructured healthcare data while ensuring data privacy and compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data-driven strategies and use cases. Furthermore, you will mentor and guide a team of data scientists and analysts and stay updated with AI/ML advancements in healthcare to recommend innovative approaches.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead end-to-end data science projects in the healthcare space, from business understanding to deployment.
- Develop, train, and optimize advanced Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP models for healthcare datasets (EHR, medical claims, imaging, clinical notes, etc.).
- Work with structured and unstructured healthcare data, ensuring data privacy, compliance (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, GDPR), and ethical AI practices.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to define data-driven strategies and use cases.
- Mentor and guide a team of data scientists and analysts, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with AI/ML advancements in healthcare and life sciences to recommend innovative approaches.
**Qualifications Required:**
- 6-10 years of experience in Data Science / AI/ML, with at least 3+ years in Healthcare domain projects.
- Strong expertise in Python / R, SQL, TensorFlow / PyTorch, Scikit-learn, NLP frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare datasets (EHR/EMR, HL7/FHIR standards, clinical text, medical imaging, claims, genomics).

- Proven ability to design and deploy ML models at scale (on AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, deep learning, and NLP.
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Experience leading a data science team and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
If you have exposure to Generative AI / LLM applications in healthcare, experience in biostatistics, medical research, or healthcare product development, and familiarity with MLOps practices and tools (Kubeflow, MLflow, Docker), it would be a plus.
