Associate/ Sr. Associate - Legal

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Executive to support our in-house legal team. The optimal candidate will assist in handling a wide range of legal matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts, coordinating with empaneled lawyers, conducting legal research, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the legal function.

Role & responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain agreements, contracts, notices, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• 
  Liaise with external lawyers to seek legal opinions, follow up on ongoing cases, and ensure timely resolution of legal matters.
• Conduct preliminary legal research on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and other relevant legal issues.
• Maintain organized records of all legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and case-related information.
• Assist in compliance and regulatory matters, including monitoring changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.
• Support risk assessment and provide practical recommendations to mitigate potential legal exposure.

Preferred candidate profile

• LLB or LLM degree from a recognized university

• 2+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role, preferably with exposure to drafting agreements including, but not limited to, NDAs, Service Agreements, MOUs, and other commercial contracts

• Strong drafting, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external lawyers
