Your role
UBS GROUP TECHNOLOGY is seeking a strong technical leader, with extensive technical and managerial experience at leading financial institutions to ensure successful development and delivery of a division wide Data Governance technology framework. Working in partnership with the Asset Management Chief Data Office’s Data Governance Team, the Data Governance IT Delivery Lead will be responsible the build-out of a strategic Data Governance technology solution (Collibra), as well as the integration of this solution with key data sources.
Working closely with the Data Governance Team who is responsible for overall Data Governance strategy & policy, the IT Delivery lead will drive technology initiatives aimed at enabling an active Data Governance framework, whereby divisional data can be ‘Governed’ through a central/ integrated mechanism. To this end, the individual will also work in close collaboration with other Asset Management IT Teams to plan & deliver robust integration solutions across various in-flight programs and existing systems. This role’s primary objective is to make sure Data Governance is ingrained in the divisional technical architecture, so the ability to effectively manage a multitude of dependencies is firmly required. This is an exciting leadership position, which will require an excellent combination of technical and people management
The candidate will have following focus areas:
- collaborate with data governance leads within the am chief data office to gather data governance requirements and ensure their successful delivery through technology solutions
- based on governance requirements, manage the development of custom capabilities & workflows within the am strategic data governance solution collibra, overseeing overall functional design, development, and testing
- enable complex integrations between collibra and various data sources/ systems throughout the division, ensuring collibra is a central governing mechanism and integrated meta-data management solution
- assist in managing vendor relationships from contract negotiations to release management, to manage cost and operational risk
- collaborate with relevant shared services functions such as infrastructure services, global production services, quality assurance, procurement, information security etc. to ensure timely completion of the planned book of work
- ensure security, scalability and business continuity of the data infrastructure
Your team
You’ll be working in the Data Governance IT team in Pune, Weekhawken, NJ & New York City. This team already consists of a lead developer & business analyst, who have developed an extensive amount of custom workflows & governance functionality within Collibra. The team works in an agile/scrum format and is eager to have you join and extend the approach.
Your expertise
You have:
- 8+ years of diverse experience in designing and managing innovative solutions in asset management or financial services domain
- experience in knowledge of collibra implementation, configuration, apis, connect etc
- experience with enterprise integration solution such as mulesoft, jboss, spring etc.
- knowledge of groovy scripting and activiti bpmn 2.0 engine is nice to have.
- experience in java/ j2ee and web service integration skills.
- strong knowledge of python
- hands-on experience with web/application development (html, css, apis – rest, json) and bpmn workflow development
- strong experience with rdbms like oracle sql, ms sql, and my sql
- knowledge of data quality, data profiling
