About The Role
At Ugaoo, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CA Fresher to join our core Finance & Accounts team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across accounting, taxation, compliance, retail finance operations, audits, and financial reporting in a fast-growing retail and D2C environment.
As part of the finance team, you will work closely with business, retail, and warehouse operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and process discipline across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage day-to-day accounting entries, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and payment gateway settlements across e-commerce and retail channels.
• Process vendor invoices, coordinate timely payouts, and maintain accurate vendor ledgers.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and reconcile data for multi-state GST filings across regions such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Haryana.
• Assist in preparation of working papers for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings, ensuring accurate reconciliation between internal registers and government portals.
• Support calculations related to Input Tax Credit (ITC) tracking and reversals.
• Assist with TDS deductions, challan generation, and quarterly return filings.
  

Retail & Operational Finance

• Execute daily and weekly reconciliations of retail store sales, including cash and digital payment reconciliation.
• Support retail stock and cash audits while ensuring adherence to internal SOPs.
• Assist in maintaining documentation related to corporate insurance renewals for warehouse and retail locations.
  

Audit & Reporting

• Maintain organized physical and digital records of financial documents, invoices, and vouchers.

  Get Hired
• Support internal and statutory audit processes by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist the Finance Controller in preparing MIS reports, financial summaries, and ad-hoc analyses.
  

Qualifications & Ideal Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Fresher).
• Articleship experience in accounting, audit, taxation, or compliance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and financial reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data reconciliation functions).
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including retail operations, warehouses, and external consultants.
