Cloud Operations Engineer

Job description / Role

Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Manage public cloud resources including servers, networks, databases, and container clusters.
- Ensure optimal performance and security of cloud-based infrastructure.

Application Stability:
- Monitor and maintain the stability of our connected vehicle platform applications.
- Implement measures to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.

Daily Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, issue resolution, emergency response, and technical support.
- Document and report on all maintenance activities and incidents.

Process Improvement:

- Contribute to the development and refinement of operational workflows and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Incident Management:
- Respond promptly to system outages or performance issues.
- Conduct thorough investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements.

- Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations or a related role.

- Cloud Computing: Proficiency with public clouds such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Linux, databases (MySQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus.
- Experience with high availability design, observability, and operational processes.
- Preferred: Prior experience in project management, product management, or knowledge of app development/client-side technologies.
