Job Purpose:
To lead strategic contract management for Wind, Solar, and Hybrid renewable energy projects through effective drafting, negotiation, administration, and risk allocation of commercial agreements while ensuring legal compliance, governance adherence, cost optimization, and timely project execution.
Job Context & Major Challenges:
Operating in a fast-paced renewable energy environment, the role manages complex and high-value contracts across EPC, WTG, BoS/BoP, IPP, and O&M projects involving multiple stakeholders, OEMs, contractors, and regulatory frameworks.
Key challenges include balancing commercial risk protection with project execution timelines, handling complex negotiations and disputes, mitigating contractual and regulatory risks, ensuring timely contract closure, and driving standardization and best practices across projects while supporting business growth.
Principal Accountabilities & Supporting Actions:
Strategic Contract Management:
- Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and finalization of MSAs, WTGAs, BoS/BoP, EPC, IPP, and O&M agreements for Wind/Solar/Hybrid projects
Commercial Risk Allocation:
Regulatory & Compliance Management:
- Ensure alignment with commercial, legal, taxation, and renewable energy regulatory requirements
Stakeholder & Conflict Management:
- Collaborate with project, procurement, finance, legal teams, external counsel, OEMs, and contractors to resolve disputes and optimize contract outcomes
Claims & Dispute Resolution:
- Lead contractual claims management, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation strategies
Governance & Contract Administration:
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, approval processes, documentation standards, and audit requirements
Execution Enablement:
- Drive timely contract closure without impacting project execution schedules

Industry & Regulatory Monitoring:
- Stay updated on CERC/State Regulations, MNRE guidelines, IEC/CEA standards, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- B.Tech / BE (Mandatory) Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
- Additional qualification in Law / MBA / Contract Management preferred
- 13 to 20 years of experience in contract management within renewable energy / EPC / infrastructure sectors
- Strong experience in handling Wind/Solar/Hybrid project contracts, including EPC, WTG, BoS/BoP, O&M, and IPP agreements
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting, taxation, dispute management, and regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to CERC / State RE Regulations, MNRE guidelines, IEC/CEA standards
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, risk allocation, claims management, and dispute resolution
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and conflict resolution capabilities
- Proficiency in SAP / ERP systems and contract governance practices
